With actor Peter Lawford as emcee on the evening of May 19, 1962 at NYC's Madison Square Garden, a fund raiser for the Democratic Party, Marilyn Monroe sang a sultry rendition of Happy Birthday to President John F. Kennedy. His 45th birthday was actually 10 days later - and approximately 86 days later, Marilyn Monroe really was "the late Marilyn Monroe."
This sparkling event, considered by many to be scandalous thanks to her glittering see-through dress and her 'simpering' performance, must have been considered by certain government agencies and officials to be one more reason that Marilyn must be gotten under control and her company shunned within the accustomed social circles of wild parties and private tete-a-tetes. Besides, Communist links and overheard (bugged!) conversations had become a large part of the Kennedy administation's National Security efforts to keep control of things, while other entities were allegedly bugging Marilyn's and Peter's Lawford's houses. Loose-lipped politicians should have known better especially with nuclear secrets floating around.
And so as many people agree, the glamorous, amorous Miss Monroe had become extremely inconvenient for the Kennedy White House, the Pentagon, and for the US Justice Department headed by Jack's brother, US Attorney General Robert Kennedy. At this point, and in possession of what may have been a 'red diary' and other records, the out-of-favor Marilyn was feeling she'd been passed around and had grown tired of being mistreated and neglected.
How or just why she may have pressured Bobby we may never know for certain but on the evening of August 4, 1962, things didn't work out as she'd hoped (an understatement). That mobsters were involved in the plot seems a given, she's said to have dated a few.
Well, perhaps there are some interesting clues shown in the eclipse horoscope, below, with Marilyn's natal Sun @10Gem26 (11th house) is conjoined by the Jupiter-Pluto midpoint suggesting that Marilyn was entertaining an urge to gain more personal power and may have thought that she would be able to keep things within her grasp bwo of her strong personality, her popularity, plus, a hidden cache of compromising information. However, the Jupiter-Pluto duo represents plutocrats, criminals, and other people with power such as big-time politicians, and these strong actors symbolically entered the neighborhood via the Anti-Vertex (here signifying Marilyn) with the opposite point, the Vertex @10Sag48, as a timer for 'fated encounters'. You'll also notice the 'unbeatable foe' asteroid, Nemesis @24Sag20, (also in the 5th house of Romance) conjunct the natal position of Marilyn's Vertex (which isn't notated on the chart). Tragically, Marilyn met her nemesis, whether by assassin or by accidental overdose.
One conspiracy theory is that Dr. Engelberg had prescribed or had given Marilyn a drug that Dr. Greenson hadn't known about and that's how an overdose might have occurred. This means that the mysterious events surrounding her death may have only been to cover up a medical miscalculation. Hmm. Well, this may be but going by the Sabian Symbol for "11 Scorpio" (the position of Neptune, one of the planets denoting drugs, including alcohol) let's assume that someone's bacon was saved that night by a cover up: "A Drowning Man Rescued."
Brentwood Horoscope 19 North Solar Eclipse July 31, 1962 @7Leo48: Realism
So here is the Solar Eclipse that was 'running in the background of society' at that time it had manifested as a 19 North eclipse with themes of: 'realism; coming down to Earth; seeing an old situation for what it really is; a good time for tackling the truth' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology #ad). Perhaps Marilyn, a highly receptive and sensitive soul, was acting under the influence of 19 North Eclipse themes which perfected @7Leo48 on July 31, 1962 with the rounded-up degree of "8 Leo" and its Sabian Symbol of "A Bolshevik Propagandist". This to me suggests the political realms that were involved with her death and the surrounding suspicions about Marilyn's associations with Communists (a possible example: her ex-husband Arthur Miller), and/or her relationhips with other unsavory characters.
And so, this is the Solar Eclipse under which the death of Marilyn Monroe took place, and one theory is that she and RFK had had a big argument that day, and Marilyn may have threatened to go public with certain information in a press conference on Monday August 6, 1962. This may have only been a threat but it was a dangerous move on her part. After all, had she expected Bobby, a Catholic, to leave wife Ethel and family to marry her? See the lower right corner for deceptive Neptune square the Eclipse, and consider the 19 North eclipse theme: 'seeing a situation for what it really is'.
Now in the book Marilyn's Last Words, author Matthew Smith details that Robert Kennedy was at Marilyn's house the day of her death in order to retrieve documents, papers, and letters that would have compromised his brother Jack's presidency. Well, all her papers and notebooks did mysteriously disappear after that evening. More on this in an upcoming post. And in the center of the eclipse horoscope, you see one more implication of the Jupiter-Pluto duo working together: 'destruction of documents'. This could pertaon, of course, to the reputed destruction of documents by the FBI.
Plus, as you see, the July 1962 eclipse was opposed by karmic planet of restriction and limitation, Saturn conjunct the Saturnian South Node of the Moon suggesting potentials for separation, loneliness, and melancholy times two. As the energies circulating within Marilyn's environment and peaking over that weekend she lost her life, these difficult indications are supported by midpoint pictures found within the T-Squares formed by cold Saturn, the 'marriage pair' of Sun and Moon, the karmic Nodal Axis, and confusing Neptune so let's close with their potentials taken from Reinhold Ebertin (any, all, or none may apply):
Sun-Saturn = Neptune: mental, emotional, or physical crisis; lack of vitality; inner peculiarities.
Moon-Saturn = Neptune: sickness of the soul; anxiety; depression; mirthlessness; feeling inferior.
Mercury-Saturn = Neptune: plans without any prospect of realization; depression; distrust.
Saturn-North Node ('NN') = Neptune: emotional suffering from falsehood, deception, fraud; separation; feeling neglected; illness.
So, dear reader, you may disagree with this partial assessment, but for me the Horoscope of the 19 North Solar Eclipse which perfected just a few days prior to the tragic death of Marilyn Monroe contains information describing the surrounding atmosphere if not the actual events and participants of that time and place.
